XT-TREE
Wireless Soil Conditions Sensor For Trees
A long-probe sensor designed to be buried down to 150 cm — at the root depth of the trees it monitors. The XT-TREE reads moisture, temperature and light from the depth that actually matters for tree health.

Moisture Where The Roots Are
Surface readings lie — most tree roots live well below the topsoil. The XT-TREE is entrenched near the desired root depth, so its VWC reading reflects the water actually available to the tree rather than the water evaporating from the surface.
VWC At Root Depth
Volumetric Water Content measured where the tree drinks, not where the sun dries. Up to 150 cm installation depth.
Substrate Temperature
−20 to +65 °C ±2 %. Root-zone temperature drives phenology and stress — the data needed to plan irrigation and planting.
Ambient Light
0 – 150 000 lux ±5 %. Canopy closure and shade patterns become measurable per tree position.
Hybrid Radio
Sigfox 0G plus LoRaWAN (Helium, Netmore). Data reaches the dashboard from remote plots without on-site gateways.
Long Probe
Designed for permanent installation next to the root ball, with the antenna above ground for reliable transmission.
Self-Learning Calibration
Patent-pending substrate-fingerprinted calibration tunes each sensor to its actual soil.
Where It Fits
Urban Trees
Street trees in pits and tree lawns. A buried sensor survives foot traffic, dogs and street cleaning while reporting the water the tree actually gets.
Parks & Avenues
Tree rows along avenues and in parks where individual water needs vary by species, age and soil profile.
New Plantings
Monitor establishment success over the first critical seasons — quantify when a tree is drinking and when irrigation is failing.
Open Field Orchards
Older orchards and tree nurseries where root depth makes surface readings unreliable.

Built For The Long Run
Buried Up To 150 cm
Reach the root zone of mature trees. The probe stays in place; only the antenna pokes above the surface.
Plug & Play
No gateways, no replaceable parts, no cables. Bury it, walk away, check the dashboard.
15-Year Battery
Sealed, fixed battery designed for the long horizons of tree care — install once and forget.
Hybrid Radio
Sigfox 0G plus LoRaWAN (Helium, Netmore). No gateway, no IT, works in remote urban and rural plots.
